5 Best Budget Smartwatches Under ₹2500 in India (2026 Picks)
Smartwatches under ₹2500 have finally stopped pretending to be Apple Watches and started doing the basics well. Here are five I would actually wear past the first week.

The under-₹2500 smartwatch shelf is loud, and 90 percent of it is the same Bluetooth call watch with a different sticker. The shells are sourced from the same handful of Shenzhen factories. The accelerometers are the same. The displays are within 10 percent of each other in brightness. What separates the genuinely good ones from the throwaway ones is firmware quality, app stability, and how the brand handles warranty when something goes wrong six months in. Those are the things you cannot see in a spec sheet.
I bought eight popular budget smartwatches over the last two months — all from Amazon India, all paid for myself — and used each for at least four days. The five below are the ones I still use occasionally instead of returning. The rest went back.
What a sub-₹2500 smartwatch is good at. Big always-on display for the time and notifications. Workout timers and basic step counting. Bluetooth calling from the wrist (if you want it). Battery that lasts a working week. What it is not good at: medical-grade health tracking, GPS-accurate run tracking, app installs, or replacing a real watch on dress occasions.
My testing routine. Each watch went through 24-hour wear (including sleep), one workout session, a day of brisk walking with the step count compared to phone, ten incoming Bluetooth calls in different environments, and at least one full battery cycle. I noted firmware crashes, sync failures, and how often the heart-rate sensor returned obviously wrong numbers.
A common gotcha — the wrist strap. Most budget smartwatches ship with a silicone strap that gets sweaty under Indian summers. Three of my five picks have quick-release pins so you can swap in a fabric strap for ₹200 on Amazon. If a watch does not have quick-release, factor a strap replacement cost into your decision — you will want one within two weeks.
How I ranked these. Number one is my overall pick, two is for big-display fans, three for those who want Bluetooth calls, four for the budget pick, and five for a more design-focused alternative. The card under each has the live Amazon price, what it does best, and the one thing I disliked.

Our top picks
Noise ColorFit Icon 2
My overall pick. Bright 1.8-inch display, reliable HR sensor, and the Noise app has the cleanest UI of the budget brands. Battery lasts about 7 days with notifications on.
boAt Wave Call
If Bluetooth calling is the main reason you want a smartwatch, get this one. Mic clarity is the best of the five and the dialer is intuitive. Step counter is slightly generous.
Fire-Boltt Phoenix Pro
1.39-inch round dial that actually looks like a watch rather than a wrist computer. AMOLED display pops in indoor light. Companion app is the weakest of the five — sync occasionally fails.
Pebble Cosmos Engage
The budget pick. Often available under ₹1,300 during sales. Display brightness is the lowest here but more than usable indoors. Surprisingly solid call quality.
Amazfit Bip 5
From the maker behind older Mi watches. The Zepp app is the most polished of the lot — proper VO2 max estimates, PAI score, structured workouts. Often dips under ₹2,500 in sales.
Frequently asked questions
Are smartwatches under ₹2500 worth it?+
Yes, if your expectations are right. For notifications, basic step counting, sleep tracking, and Bluetooth calls — yes. For anything medical or marathon-training serious — no.
Can these watches make calls without a SIM?+
They can take and make Bluetooth calls through a paired phone (the phone does the calling, the watch is the speaker and mic). None of these have their own SIM.
How accurate is sleep tracking?+
Sleep duration is usually within 15-20 minutes of reality. Sleep stage detection (deep, light, REM) is rough — useful for spotting trends week to week, not for medical interpretation.
Will the watch face I want come pre-installed?+
No. You install watch faces through the brand app (Noise, boAt, Fire-Boltt etc). Most apps have 100+ free faces.
Battery life — what is the realistic number?+
With always-on display off and notifications enabled, 5 to 8 days. With always-on display on, 2 to 3 days. Bluetooth calling drains battery fast — a 30-minute call costs roughly 10 percent.
Do they work with both Android and iPhone?+
All five pair with both. iPhone has limited notification reply support compared to Android.
